North Carolina LME - Provider Information Session
Section 12006 of the Twenty First Century Cures Act (Cures Act) and The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) requires that states begin utilizing an Electronic Visit Verification System (EVV) for all Personal Care Services (PCS) by January 1, 2020 and all Home Health Care Services by January 1, 2023. Therefore, the Cures Act Mandate requires all visits to be timestamped via an electronic verification method utilizing EVV tools to record the member, caregiver, location of the service, date of the service and the type of service performed.

To ensure, we are fully compliant prior to the mandate, your contracted LME(s) – Sandhills Center, Alliance Health, Trillium Health Resources, Vaya Health, Cardinal Innovations Healthcare, Partners, and Eastpointe; requires all providers to be fully integrated by January 1st, 2021 and implement electronic visit verification (EVV) for Personal Care Service (PCS). As a result, your contracted LME(s) has partnered with HHAeXchange to provide a free Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) and billing tool for member placement, scheduling, authorization management, communication, and EVV compliance for Home Health Aide services.

The following training session will allow you to understand the key points and functionalities that will be available to you through the HHAeXchange provider portal
